How to remove yellow spots under the armpits

Hydrogen peroxide

Peroxide cleans the yellowness from the armpits well. But this tool is suitable only for white clothes. There are several options for using peroxide:

  • Apply the peroxide directly to the armpits so as to completely wet the yellow spots. Wait forty minutes, then wash with soap.
  • Dilute hydrogen peroxide (2 tablespoons) in warm water (1 liter), soak the thing in the resulting mixture for one and a half hours, wash.
  • Mix peroxide, soda and dishwashing liquid (4: 2: 1), distribute the resulting slurry liberally over the yellow spot for two and a half hours. After that, you can rub your armpits with this mixture. The thing remains to be washed with soap.

Ammonia

Nasathyr is a solution of ammonium hydroxide in water. It has a strong smell, but it effectively copes with yellow stains from sweat.

  1. Dissolve Nasathyr (1 tablespoon) in water (1 glass).
  2. Use the resulting mixture to treat dirt on the armpits.
  3. Leave for 40-50 minutes and wash with soap.

Useful ! You can add table salt (1 tablespoon) to the resulting mixture. The effectiveness of the detergent will increase.

Important ! When washing, it is better to use fabric softener so that the smell of ammonia does not remain on the clothes.

Aspirin

Few people know, but tablets of ordinary aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) can remove yellow traces of sweat from clothes.

  1. Dissolve two tablets in a small amount of water. Or the medicine is pounded to a powder state, a little water is added to make a slurry.
  2. Treat the armpits with the resulting gruel or soak in the solution.
  3. Leave for two and a half hours. After that, you can rub the problem area well.
  4. Rinse and wash in the usual way.

Household soap

Household soap is an irreplaceable helper of any housewife. It unlocks many stains. But only if they are fresh. Soap will not cope with old traces of sweat.

  • It is enough to soap the armpits of the shirt, leave it for an hour and a half and wash the thing by hand or in a washing machine. Old traces of sweat and deodorant will completely disappear.
  • There is an ancient method of boiling with the addition of household soap. But you can boil only white things made of cotton. Soap is rubbed on a coarse grater, a pan of water is heated, soap shavings and other things are added there. Boil for three to four hours. After boiling, things are rinsed in cold water.

Soda and salt

Baking soda and salt work best together. They give a whitening effect, no worse than purchased household chemicals. There are two options for use:

  • Mix liquid soap with 1 tbsp. l. soda and 1 tbsp. l. salt Rub the dirt with the resulting mixture. Leave for an hour and a half, wash off.
  • Separately, mix soda or salt with a small amount of water to a mushy state. Apply to yellow armpits, leave for two hours. For a better cleansing effect, you can rub with a soft brush. Rinse and wash as usual.

Vinegar

Vinegar is used only on natural white fabrics – cotton, linen. Delicate fabrics can be deformed and damaged under the aggressive influence of the product.

  1. Mix a teaspoon of vinegar with a glass of water.
  2. Apply to the yellow armpits (or soak the clothes completely), leave for forty-five minutes.
  3. After washing in the usual way.

Household chemicals

In addition to folk remedies, household chemicals cope well with sweat stains on white clothes. But you should be more careful with these products because of the aggressive effect on fabrics.

  • Whiteness. Contains chlorine, which deforms the fabric structure. Undiluted laundry instantly removes yellow sweat stains. It is enough to leave it for 3-4 minutes. After washing, a sharp smell of the product may remain on things.
  • Domestos Strong preparation, contains chlorine. 1-2 minutes are enough to remove pollution. Deforms the fabric, so use rarely and in extreme cases.
  • Tide Contains oxygen bleach. The powder is diluted in water and soaked in things.
  • Vanish. Stain remover, produced for white and colored clothes. Contains oxygen bleach. It has three ways of affecting pollution. Dissolve in water and soak things. Mix with a small amount of water and apply to the stain. Add to washing machine.

Colored clothes

Not all of the above methods are suitable for colored fabrics. This is due to the fact that bleaches and some folk remedies (vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, any acid) will leave white spots on colored fabric and spoil the thing.

What to use? Laundry soap, ammonia, and salt are suitable for washing. But even with these means you need to be careful. It all depends on the fabric.

Among household chemicals, the one specially designed for colored items is suitable: Tide, Vanish.
