Diamond green (this is its official name) is sold in bottles with an additional tightly closed cork. To take it out, you have to make a lot of effort. And God forbid to make a sudden movement: the contents of the bottle instantly spill out. Then there is a serious problem, how to remove green from the carpet or rug.
First of all, you need to act immediately. In this case, the chances of removing the green stain without a trace increase. But even old stains can be removed, moreover, with means that every housewife has.

Hydrogen peroxide
Hydrogen peroxide is an indispensable assistant for removing various stains. It will also cope with greens. It is enough to pour a small amount on the mark on the carpet, and the green will begin to dissolve. Rub the remnants of the stain with cotton pads or gauze. If it was not possible to remove the green problem completely, soak a cotton pad in the same peroxide and rub the green again. A little effort and time, and the stain will disappear.
Ammonia
Ammonia is used in approximately the same way as hydrogen peroxide, only it is better to clean with a brush instead of cotton pads. But after the stain disappears, it is necessary to remove the ammonia from the carpet itself. To do this, the brush is thoroughly rinsed in a soapy solution and rubbed over the place where the stain was. If ammonia is not carefully removed, the carpet can take on an unpresentable appearance, and it will be impossible to correct its condition.
Acetone or solvent
Acetone or a solvent for varnishes and paints can only be used in relation to a carpet with a stiff pile. The algorithm of actions is the same: soak a cotton pad or sponge for washing dishes with a hard sticker in acetone and wipe the trace of green. Wash this area of the carpet immediately with soap and water.

Vinegar
Before using vinegar to remove green spots, you need to take a piece of cardboard and place it under the area that will be cleaned. If this is not done, the green color will stain the floor. Accordingly, in the case of a carpet, this method will not work, since you will not be able to lift the covering so easily and put cardboard on it.
Vinegar should be poured directly onto the stain. It should dissolve the diamond green and remove it without a trace. If the stain is old, you will have to rub it. So that the vinegar does not shock those present with its smell, it can be neutralized with lemon juice. Well, you can’t do without rinsing with water.
Detergent
Make a solution of water and washing powder and beat the foam. Apply foam to the green mark with a wet brush and rub. If the case is complicated, soak a rag in the solution and leave it directly on the carpet for an hour. Remove the remaining powder with clean water.
For white carpets, it is better to take a powder with bleach, for colored ones – with the addition of a stain remover. Shampoos for washing carpets also provide excellent foam. In addition, they do not need to be rinsed. It is enough to walk with a vacuum cleaner over the dried place of washing.
Soda with household soap
Grate laundry soap, mix it with the same amount of baking soda, prepare a solution and rub greens with it. If the stain is old, apply a slurry of soda and soap on it. Thoroughly remove the remains of the mixture with clean water and dry the carpet.
Means for cleaning sanitary ware
Any toilet or sink cleaner is suitable for removing complex dirt from textiles. It is more convenient to use liquid. It should be applied to the green and blotted with napkins after it disappears. Remove the residue with water. If you delay, the carpet may lose its color. It is better to test the product on an inconspicuous area before using it on the carpet.
