Ceramic dishes have long won their place among kitchen utensils and in the hearts of the housewives of our country. This coating does not release harmful substances into the food during use. A frying pan with a ceramic coating is environmentally safe, as it is made of natural materials. Wear-resistant, and allows you to save on oil for frying. But no matter what excellent characteristics ceramics have, they require care and regular cleaning. Let’s figure out how to clean a ceramic pan from soot and not damage its coating.
- Carefully remove dirt from hot dishes with a dry paper towel, this will help prevent fats from sticking to the surface.
- For daily care, use a regular detergent. After use, it is enough to fill the product with warm water with a drop of detergent, leave it for 10 minutes and wash it off under the tap.

These are the two main points of cleaning a ceramic pan, but what if the food is burnt, a layer of soot has appeared on the ceramic? An ordinary washing machine will not cope, then either clean with expensive household chemicals, or the advice of housewives comes into play.

Vegetable oil
If there are small burnt spots on the pan after cooking, then first wash it in the usual way. Didn’t help? Then wet a kitchen napkin in vegetable, preferably olive, oil and rub the contamination well. Leave for a couple of minutes. And wash again.
Activated carbon
Soot on a ceramic pan is easy to clean with activated carbon:
- Crush 20-25 tablets to a powdery state.
- Apply dishwashing gel evenly to a wet pan, sprinkle with charcoal powder.
- After an hour, remove the detergent composition with a sponge, rinse and wipe dry.
Boiling
Burnt food can be softened using hot water. With minor and “fresh” soot, it is enough to fill the pan with warm water with a small amount of detergent, and leave it to soak for half an hour to an hour. If the food is badly burned or, moreover, dried out, it will be necessary to increase the effect by boiling:
- Fill the pan with water, adding a couple of drops of detergent.
- Put on fire. After boiling, keep on fire for 10 minutes.
- Allow to cool, rinse under running water. The soot will soften under the influence of boiling water, and it can be easily cleaned with an ordinary sponge.
Vodka
Vodka or medical alcohol will help to clean a small soot.
- Wet a cotton pad with vodka.
- Generously wipe the entire inside surface of the pan. Leave for 10-15 minutes.
- Wash as usual.

Advices
Unfortunately, even the ceramic surface, which is recommended not to be washed at all, is prone to the formation of soot on its surface. It is always much easier to prevent the formation of heavy pollution than to try to clean it.
Careful handling and proper care will allow the product to be used for its intended purpose for a long time.
- Before the first use, the inner surface should be washed with warm water, wiped dry and wiped with a brush moistened with vegetable oil.
- By using a silicone or wooden spatula during cooking, you will extend the life of the pan for several years.
- It is better for products from the refrigerator to lie at room temperature for 15 minutes, after that you can put them in a pan and put them on the fire, since this dish does not like sudden changes in temperature.
- In no case do not pour hot product with water, especially colder, this will cause cracking of the non-stick coating and lead to rapid failure. Allow the pan to cool, and then start cleaning.
- Do not soak it for a long time, this leads to the appearance of microcracks.
- Abrasive substances, metal objects, brushes cannot be used to fight soot.
