Ways for here and now
The following can be considered the most common methods:
- Neutralization of red wine with white.
- Mineral water plus stain remover.
- Cold water plus ammonia.

Now in more detail.
White wine neutralizes red. But you need to act immediately. So, if there are both types of wine on the table, and it is red that drips on the carpet, upholstery or tablecloth, you need to wet a cotton pad with white wine and put it on the stain. If it is large, you can use a napkin. After 1-2 minutes, wash the area with cold water (use a wet sponge) and cover with salt for 10-15 minutes. Collect the wet salt with a brush in a scoop and once again wipe the wine mark with a clean napkin.
The second method works roughly the same way, only the stain is poured with mineral water to neutralize the wine, and finally removed with a stain remover.
In the third way, how to wash away the wine, the algorithm is the same, only a napkin soaked in ammonia is applied to the fresh stain, and then the place is wiped with clean water. For convenience, you can use a sponge.
A piece of wool upholstery
A mixture of ethyl alcohol and glycerin in equal quantities will help wash off the wine from the wool fabric. Rub the stain well with a cotton swab dipped in the mixture and place a napkin dipped in the same solution on this spot. After 4.5-5 hours, remove the napkin, wash the contaminated area with clean water and wipe it with a dry napkin.
How to remove from the white carpet
If the wine spilled on the white carpet, a large amount of salt will help, at least half a pack. It should be poured with a thick layer and rubbed. Collect the salt with a brush, and wash off the remains with cold water.
Gasoline soap will also help wash off the wine. You can cook with your own hands. Take 200 ml of gasoline, 5 ml of alcohol, 15 ml of oleic acid and 10 ml of ammonia diluted in water in a ratio of 1:4. Mix everything. Rub the stain with this solution until it disappears, and then cover it with talcum powder. Brush the talc onto the scoop. By the way, gasoline soap helps to remove greasy traces, bird droppings, and other complex pollution.
If the wine gets on the white linen upholstery, a bathtub or toilet cleaner will help. It contains whitening components, so it will cope well with wine on fabric. However, it is necessary to test on an inconspicuous area to make sure that the material does not deteriorate. You can try other bleaches, but not chlorine-based.

If the wine stain is old
If you need to wash off a stale wine stain, you can use vinegar. It is enough to wet a cloth in it and rub the stain. Not a trace will remain. But do not forget that all substances require testing.
You can try to rub an old stain on a silk cover with a cloth dipped in milk. After all, it is necessary to wash this blanket by hand and rinse it.
As you can see, there are many ways to remove wine stains from textiles. The main thing is not to allow them to become obsolete.
