There are several cleaning methods:

- alcohol use.
Important ! Whichever method you choose, first remove the remaining slime from the clothing by gently scraping it. Use any thin object for this: plastic card, knife, ruler. Only after you manage to clean off all the mucus, you can start removing the remaining stain. If preliminary cleaning is not done, then the substance from which the slime is made will spread over a larger area and increase the volume of the stain and complicate your work.
Application of high temperature
Under the influence of high temperatures, most slimes dissolve, so it is easy to wash them in water at a temperature above 60 degrees (note that not all fabrics can withstand such loads).
- Leave the thing in hot water for 15-20 minutes.
- Rub the soiled area to wash off the residue. If necessary, soak again or better hold it under a hot stream to rinse the mucus.
- When the stain has been removed, wash the clothes in a washing machine using a regular detergent, or wash them by hand with laundry soap.
Important ! Some fabrics (for example, synthetics) cannot be washed in hot water. Be attentive.
Application of low temperature
This method is perfect in the case when time is wasted, the slime has managed to dry on things and it is difficult to remove it. A similar method is used to remove glue stains . The principle of such cleaning is that when frozen, the mucus hardens, and it is easy to destroy it by mechanical impact.
- Place the item of clothing in a bag and send it to the freezer for a couple of hours. You can also use ice cubes locally.
- When the slime has frozen, rub the stain thoroughly with your hands or a brush to break up the frozen slime. Remove the remains of the lick from the fabric with a knife.
- Wash the remains of the stain in warm water with household soap.
Acetone
Acetone is an excellent solvent that removes various stains, including slime. Before use, be sure to check the effect of the agent on the fabric by dropping a little in an inconspicuous place. You can use nail polish remover without acetone (it is weaker, but can also help with less damage to clothes).
- Soak a piece of cotton wool in acetone or a liquid containing it.
- Carefully remove the remaining mucus.
- Wash clothes in soapy water.
Useful: acetone is perfect for cleaning fur products.
Importantly! Do not use acetone for colored fabrics. This can cause discoloration.
Hydrogen peroxide
Quite a simple and cheap way. Do not use on colored synthetic fabrics. Peroxide has the property of lightening. Perfectly washes stains on white clothes.

Another inexpensive and simple method.
It is enough to wash the slime with ammonia, acting in the same way as when treating with peroxide. As a rule, these actions will be enough. But you can increase the effect, especially if the slime had time to dry or was dyed:
- Mix sea salt, a little ammonia and a few drops of lemon juice until smooth.
- Apply the product locally and leave for 20 minutes.
- Wash the product as usual.
Importantly! Be sure to test the methods on the inner seam or any other inconspicuous place and check the reaction. There is a risk of spoiling the fabric.
Gasoline
It should be used only as a last resort, when other methods do not work, as the substance has a detrimental effect on the product.
- Dip a piece of cloth in gasoline.
- Remove mucus with careful movements.
- Wash and rinse the thing thoroughly to get rid of traces of gasoline and strong smell.
Importantly! Avoid prolonged contact of gasoline with clothing.
Using stain removers
The modern industry is developing extremely rapidly, and the choice of cleaning products is increasing.
You will need any stain remover (such as Vanish) to remove slime marks.
- Apply topically to the stain and leave for 20 minutes.
- Wash the product as usual.
Therefore, it is easiest to wash slime from clothes with the help of professional cleaning products. However, this option is not suitable for expensive and children’s things. In this case, other methods will come to your aid. Remember that it is much easier to prevent pollution than to eliminate it.
