Writing is the most productive form of language activity, which allows you to record information, which creates a demand for stationery and tools for its correction. However, with careless use, it may be necessary to remove traces of the product on clothing. How to return your favorite thing to its original appearance? Let’s consider ways to remove concealer from clothes.
To begin with, you should find out the composition of the corrector. Thanks to this, it is possible to choose a method with the optimal influence. A stroke can be:
- Ribbon
- Water
- Spirituous
- Oily
- Solvent-based
How to get rid of the traces of each of them? More on this below, and to begin with, important tips on what to do when casting a stroke:
- Take a thin object (for example, a knife) and remove the corrector liquid that has not had time to be absorbed into the fabric.
- Blot the stain with a napkin, do not smear. Hold the paper and let the stroke absorb. Repeat several times.
- In the process of absorbing the white disaster into a napkin, take the concealer and read its composition to choose a detergent that will best remove it.

Water concealer and masking tape
Probably the most popular varieties of the product. They are most often used by schoolchildren, as they have a safe composition and low cost.
If you act quickly, it is washed off with plain water. It will not be difficult to wash the remaining stain from clothes:
- Soak the contaminated area of clothing in warm water.
- If the spot of the corrector had time to dry, apply 2-3 drops of lemon juice and leave for 10-20 minutes.
- Wash the product with the addition of any usual detergent (powder, soap, washing gel). It is best to wash with household soap.
Importantly! Do not wash the item at high water temperature. This will have a bad effect on such pollution. Under the influence of hot water, the substance of the corrector will enter the fabric, and it will be simply impossible to get rid of it.
Alcohol corrector
To draw such a stroke, you will need any alcohol-based liquid (medical alcohol, vodka, cologne, facial tonic). It is better to take medical alcohol from a pharmacy, as it is clean, without dyes and impurities, so it will not stain clothes.
- Soak a cotton pad in the selected product.
- Apply to the contaminated fabric and wait 10-15 minutes.
- Next, if the trace has disappeared, simply wash the item with household soap. If the stain remains in place, repeat the previous step.
- It is very important to rinse the product thoroughly after cleaning.
Oil (emulsion) stroke
This type of putty is significantly more expensive and less common, and it is also more difficult to remove than the previous ones. This will require more aggressive ingredients (gasoline, kerosene, white spirit, ammonia or methyl alcohol, acetone or products containing it).
- Turn the product inside out.
- Place a piece of cotton cloth under the contaminated area.
- Dip a cotton ball in the substance and apply to the dirty area for 15 minutes.
- Wipe off the remnants of the stroke with a cotton ball, moving towards the center of the stain.
- Wash the garment as usual, using fabric conditioner to neutralize the unpleasant odor.
Importantly! Before use, be sure to test the chosen method on the inner seam, as solvents are far from suitable for all types of fabric.

Solvent-based
Stains from a solvent-based stroke are rightly considered the most difficult, but you can still try to remove it.
- Soak the product in water at room temperature for 40 minutes.
- Add the required amount of stain remover (Vanish, Ace, others) according to the instructions.
- Send the item manually.
- If the stain has been removed, wash the clothes in a washing machine. If the trace remains, proceed to the next step.
- Soak a cotton ball in ammonia and rub the stain.
- Wash the product.
Importantly! This method is not recommended for delicate fabrics.
When removing heavy dirt from clothes, it is not necessary to use expensive means or seek help from professionals. As you can see, even the most difficult stains can be washed by yourself, using handy methods.
