Any housewife has probably had such an incident when, when ironing, a burnt mark from the iron remained on the clothes. This could happen for various reasons – the mode was incorrectly set or, turning away, the iron was left for too long. The nature of the damage can also be different: on light clothes – from light yellow to brown marks, on black – a shine that spoils the appearance. If the clothes are not completely burned, you can try to eliminate the defect. Let’s consider how to remove iron stains on clothes.
Where to start?
To begin with, the scale of the “disaster” should be assessed. If the stain is light and not very large, then you can try to remove it using folk methods yourself or take it to a dry cleaner. If the stain came out with burns and holes, decoration in the form of an application will help to correct the appearance.
Also, if you decide to deal with this problem yourself, evaluate the clothes that were damaged. White, colored, black, linen, cotton or silk – when choosing a means to remove a burnt stain, it all matters.

Folk remedies
If the stain is small and light, try simply washing it first. Apply any washing powder to the stain, you can use laundry soap, and leave it for two hours. After that, lock it well. If it was not possible to remove the burns, then folk recipes will come to the rescue. You will find all the ingredients for them at home.
Hydrogen peroxide
Apply peroxide to the damaged area with an iron, then dry it with a hair dryer and rinse the clothes in cool water. If the stain still remains, peroxide can be mixed with ammonia, which is previously diluted with some water. Next, the stain is dried in the same way with a hair dryer and rinsed.
This method is suitable for white cotton products.
Salt
The stain is rubbed with salt and sprinkled with lemon juice. Allow to dry. When the stain is completely dry, the salt is shaken off and the clothes are washed. Suitable for linen fabrics.
Soda
Soda is diluted with water to form a homogeneous slurry. The mixture is rubbed into the iron mark, allowed to dry. Then clean with a soft brush and wash in cold water.
This method is suitable for silk products.
Sour milk products
Products such as kefir or ryazhanka will be “quick help” for colored fabrics. Apply kefir on a fresh stain and leave it for several hours or overnight to remove the stain completely. Wash well in the morning.
Onion
Chop the onion and squeeze out the juice, apply it to the iron mark. After the juice is completely absorbed, wash the clothes well. This procedure can be carried out several times in a row, until you can completely remove the burnt spot of the iron
Household soap
Iron marks can be removed on dark clothes with household soap. It is dissolved in water, forming soapy foam, in which gauze is moistened. Through gauze soaked in a soapy solution, iron the damaged area once again.
Vinegar
Vinegar can remove the shine from the iron on black trousers. They need to rub the damaged area and iron it again.

boric acid
Apply boric acid to the stain for five minutes, then rinse the clothes in cold water. And now your spoiled thing is blindingly white again.
Burns are cut off on woolen fabric, and the place where the mark was rubbed with hands. Rub, not too excited, so as not to stretch the clothes.
Wine alcohol
Rub the damaged area with wine alcohol, let the stain dry. Then rinse well in cool water. This method is suitable for things made of viscose.
