How to clean a gas stove – article .

We clean the enameled grid
Any enameled surface is afraid of cracks, scratches and chips, so you cannot use objects that can damage the enamel or abrasives to clean them. You need to be careful with it, and it is easiest to clean such grates in the dishwasher by turning it on in the pan-washing mode.
Of course, you can clean this part of the gas stove by hand, using any means for cleaning enameled surfaces, bought at a hardware store.
A melamine sponge is also suitable for cleaning, it copes well with this kind of contamination without damaging the enamel.
You can resort to “people’s councils”:
- mix mustard powder and vinegar in equal proportions,
- treat the rods with this solution,
- let it act for several hours,
- then rinse thoroughly with water.
Before cleaning the rods, we recommend soaking them in detergent, this will allow you to get rid of dirt much easier and faster.
I have a steel grate
The steel bars of the gas stove, as well as the enameled ones, are easy to wash in the dishwasher.
Or buy a steel cleaner and use it after soaking the grill in soapy water or a special dishwashing gel for faster grease removal.
You can also use the popular advice and rub the steel rods with mustard powder, first moisten the powder with a small amount of water, and let the product work, leaving it on the product for several hours. Then rinse and rinse under the tap.
If the contamination is severe, you can:
- Moisten abundantly with all ammoniacal alcohol available.
- Close tightly in a bag and leave to act, preferably for 8-12 hours.
- Then clean the remaining dirt with a dishwashing sponge.
- After cleaning, rinse well under running water.
Use gloves and ventilate the room well when working with ammonia.

We clean the cast iron grate
Unlike other materials, cast iron is NOT allowed to be washed in the dishwasher.
If you have a steam cleaner in your arsenal, it is very good to use it to fight pollution. The fat will leave the cast iron grate under the influence of hot steam. You can also arrange a steam bath in the oven, for this, put a metal container with water on the bottom of the oven and turn it on. Place a cast-iron grate on top.
The most common method to get rid of fat on cast iron bars is by annealing. To do this, put the cast iron element on the fire and wait for the fat to fall off. But it is better to do it outside, as the smell will not be pleasant. After the burnt grease falls off, wait for the cast iron to cool and wipe with a damp sponge.
You can use liquid for washing the car engine. Treat the cast iron surface from all sides, rinse with water and immediately dry with a towel.
On a note
- Remember, you cannot clean the gas stove with chemicals that contain abrasive substances.
- In order for the rods to remain clean, and you do not have to wash off burnt fat, after each use, wipe the device and be sure to play, then your stove will shine clean and serve for a long time.
- During the cooking process, try not to leave the pot of broth unattended to avoid splashing fat and burning it.
- Cover the pan with a lid while frying, this will protect your stove from oil stains and soot.
