- Mix talcum powder and crushed chalk and apply this dry mixture to the stain. Put a clean sheet of paper or napkin on top and press with something, for example, an iron. Leave it like this for a day. The fat will be absorbed into the talc without leaving a trace.
- Gasoline with a high degree of purification (sold in hardware stores) is applied with a cotton swab to the stain, making circular movements. First, gasoline must be tested on an inconspicuous area of the fabric of the down jacket. Rub in circular movements in a spiral from the edges to the middle, and then wash the down jacket in a washing machine or by hand.
- Put a few drops of lemon juice on the greasy mark and rub. After half an hour, a maximum of 40 minutes, wash the area with detergent.
- Take equal amounts of ammonia and hydrogen peroxide. Apply the mixture to the stain and wait 40 minutes. After 40 minutes, wash it off, and if it was not possible to remove the fat completely, repeat the procedure or use another method. Note that peroxide brightens the fabric, so it is not suitable for dark and colored down jackets.
How to remove glitter
A shiny shine appears in places where the fabric of the down jacket often touches the body: on the pockets, on the inside of the gate and cuffs, and others. These are also greasy spots formed due to the secretion of sebum. You can remove the gloss with the help of vinegar. It is necessary to dilute 3 parts of water and 1 part of vinegar. Dip a sponge in the solution and treat shiny areas.
